Below are four examples of projects that we have completed.

1. A client in a large German city has a warehouse full of different types of packaging and feels compelled to move out of the city. With the purchase of a Stand-By packaging line, the relocation plan has been scrapped. The large number of different types of packaging has been reduced to two standard sizes of fanfold corrugated cardboard, which is now used to make all packaging. The Stand-By machine takes up 30% of the warehouse space, and the remaining 70% is now production space. The result: made-to-measure packaging, no need to move, no unnecessary high stocks of different packaging and no dead movers.

2. In a Belgian greenfield factory for garage door springs, a Stand-By packaging line is being integrated into an automated manufacturing process. Every 40 seconds a garage door spring is carefully packaged, labelled and placed on a pallet. The result: A fast and efficient process with a minimum number of staff required.

3. A client in the UK employs eight people in the packaging department of their business in roller blinds. All roller blinds are packed in tubes. The tubes are cut to length with a crosscut saw or are extended using wooden slats and adhesive tape. This is a labour-intensive process. The empty tubes are stored in on-site shipping containers. With the arrival of the Stand-By packaging machine, two staff members are now in charge of packaging and production has been boosted by six people. We also provide all packaging with a label with the name of one of the parcel services that the company uses. The special thing about this is that the labelling software selects the most cost-effective parcel service on the basis of the postcode, size and weight. The result: Each roller blind wrapped in perfectly fitting packaging. No need for storage of tubes in shipping containers on site, lower handling costs, huge boost in production volumes and substantial savings in distribution costs.

4. One of our Dutch clients supplies special paper for around tubes all over the world. Volumes are growing and growing and manual packaging is no longer an option, especially as the heaviest rolls have now grown to 150 kg. In addition to a machine that wraps paper from parent rolls onto tubes, Stand-By Machinery also offers a unique packaging solution. The result: A fully automated packaging line that places a roll of paper on a pallet every 25 seconds, in precise made-to-measure packaging and shrink-wrapped. Two operators monitor the process, move the full pallets and operate the wrapping machine, which reduces the number of people working in the packaging department by 6 per shift.
